There are very few low pressure BBQs available on the market. The benefit of one of these grilles is you hook up directly to your low pressure onboard propane source with no modifications. Just hook it up and start grilling!
My camper came with a quick connect propane line that goes to a gas grill that mounts to the side of the camper. I would like to use that quick connet hose and hook it into a propane tree that I can then fuel my camp stoves with using the hose that goes into where a 1lb bottle hooks up at.
While small portable grills are often designed to use disposable propane canisters, we have a whole list of reasons we object to doing that. Since those little canisters are so… little, that seems just about as likely to happen as not. Removing disposable propane cylinders from the list of gear we need to keep on board saves space, and of course avoids running out of them, too the best way to exacerbate objection 1 above: And… they run out, too.
Third, there are the dual evils of waste the type that ends up in landfills and waste spending money unnecessarily. Those little canisters cost more and are bad for the planet. Lastly, a prime directive of a do-it-yourselfer is to identify ways of improving the RVing experience through simple modifications. How great is it to be able to eliminate a redundancy, while improving functionality and reducing costs.
A quadruple win if you do the modification yourself. You can click on the two images below to view larger versions of the diagrams.

Stephanie, her hubby, and their two cats enjoy living and traveling full time in their RV, often camping off-grid to stretch their budget. Free camping on public lands Source Camping Styles There are numerous opportunities to save money camping in an RV, but first, you will need to decide on the level of comfort and amenities you want.
I’ve divided camping opportunities into 3 categories: This is the most expensive type of camping, but there are bargains to be found. Full hookups usually include connections to electric, water and sewer, but some campgrounds will also provide cable TV, telephone and other amenities. This is the most expensive way to camp, but you can still find cheap camping.
Most private campgrounds that provide full hookups also give you the choice of partial hookups only electric or water and electric, but no sewer for a cheaper rate. Boondocking, also referred to as dry camping, refers to camping in natural areas without amenities. Boondocking is one of the least expensive kinds of camping as you are not paying for utilities, clubhouses or a lot of amenities.
Boondocking is common on public lands like Bureau of Land Management lands in the western states. There are sometimes boondocking opportunities in National and State Forests and other public areas. Many boondocking sites are free or very inexpensive.
